The Trellis Center is seeking a dedicated Program Staff member to join our mission-driven team in Ellensburg, Washington.
In this role, you will directly impact the lives of teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will foster true independence, community inclusion, and lifelong learning for every participant we serve.
Working closely with program managers, you will implement engaging, person-centered activities designed to build real-world skills. At The Trellis Center, we cultivate an environment where participants are deeply understood, genuinely valued, and given the ultimate opportunity to grow individually and contribute meaningfully to their community
Responsibilities
Supporting a varied program of activities which emphasizes empowerment, interdependence, and mutual respect focusing on development of skills and skills retention.
- Facilitate daily social and recreational activities that promote teamwork and building lasting friendships.
- Support participants through daily garden tasks and projects. Foster meaningful community ties for our participants through our events and seasonal Farmstand.
- Promote personal choice, safety, and self-advocacy.
- Build positive, encouraging relationships with participants.
- Prepare materials and adapt activities based on individual support needs.
- Assist with activities of daily living and promote a safe, respectful environment grounded in teamwork and accountability.
