Under the supervision of the Head Cook/Food Service Manager, the assistant cook will help with the preparation, packaging, and clean up of meals.
- Assist in preparing meals.

Assist in packaging meals for home delivery and bulk preparation for congregate meal sites.

Assist in serving noon meal.

Control of left over food.

Assist with clean up.

Assist Head Cook in pulling food for the following day's menu.,

Assume duties of the Head Cook in his/her absence.

Attend trainings when designated by Nutrition Program Supervisor.

Other duties as determined by the Head Cook/Food Service Manager.
Education: High School or equivalent
Experience: One year in a food preparation environment preferred. Ability to cook large quantities using standardized recipes. Knowledge of senior nutrition is helpful. Ability to work effectively with others and under the direct supervision of the Head Cook/Food Service Manager.
Must possess a valid Michigan's Driver's License.
Must possess current ServeSafe Manager certification or have the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Must submit to pre-employment drug screening and background check.
