Overview
We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our oyster farm, ensuring oysters are harvested, culled, packed, and shipped efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for coordinating order workflows, managing inventory, ensuring on-time deliveries, maintaining accurate records and paperwork, and keeping farm operations running smoothly.
The Operations Manager balances hands-on work on the water and in the packing facility with leadership, planning, logistics, inventory management, and continuous process improvement. They play a key role in maintaining product quality, supporting the farm team, and helping the business grow.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable making independent decisions. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving problems, and are excited to help build and improve the operations of a growing small business.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aquaculture, commercial fishing, agriculture, or marine operations
- HACCP trained is a plus
- Leadership or management experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to solve problems independently
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Experience operating boats and trailers (preferred)
- Valid driver's license
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
