McHenry County bar is looking for a Prep/Line Cook with experience in Tapas, Flatbreads, Appetizers, Panini's & Bar Food.
Must have knowledge of the above & be familar with various cooking procedures, such as Convection & Air Frying.
Must have no issues moving around the kitchen and be able to multi-task. Must be experienced in using various ingredients and cooking techniques.
Responsibilities:
Control & direct food preparation process, delivery and any other relative activities.
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients & cooking equipment.
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping, peeling, etc.).
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes to specifications.
Follow recipes, to uphold consistency. Ensure foods are kept at appropriate temps & stored properly.
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
Monitor stock
Train & Educate New Hires
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a cook.
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware & bakeware.
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures, credentials in Health & Safety training.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work in a team!
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
