Premier luxury dealership in Chicago's western suburbs is seeking a General Sales Manager who leads from the front — someone who lives in the CRM, drives daily activity, and turns a talented sales floor into a disciplined, high-performing team.
This role demands high energy, a relentless work ethic, and a lead-from-the-front presence. You believe deals are won through activity — phone calls, fast lead follow-up, and relentless CRM discipline — and you hold your team to it every day. You're on the floor coaching, teaching, and training, not behind a closed door.
What you'll do
- Own the sales floor's daily activity — calls, lead follow-up, appointment-setting — and hold advisors accountable through the CRM
- Live in the CRM: monitor lead response times, follow-up cadence, and pipeline health, and use the data to coach in real time
- Coach, teach, and train sales advisors to raise closing ratios, gross, and customer experience
- Desk deals, run daily save-a-deal, and drive the sales process from first contact through delivery
- Set and hit volume, gross, and CSI targets while building a culture of energy and accountability
What we're looking for
- Proven automotive sales management experience (General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or a Desk Manager ready to step up) luxury/high-line and/or high-volume import background preferred
- A strong work ethic and a high-energy leadership presence
- Deep CRM proficiency and internet-sales savvy — you know how to make a CRM drive behavior
- A track record of holding teams accountable for phone and follow-up activity, and of developing people through hands-on coaching
- Strong desking, closing, and sales-process discipline
