Duties
- Coordinate between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders
- Verify that dishes meet presentation standards and quality expectations before serving
- Organize and prioritize food orders based on timing, table needs, and menu specifications
- Communicate effectively with kitchen personnel to relay special requests or modifications from guests
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing to enhance visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting station to support food safety standards
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and resetting them efficiently for incoming guests
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred, especially in roles involving food expediting or kitchen support
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, safety protocols, and culinary terminology
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems for order management is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously under pressure
- Experience working in banquet settings or hotel restaurants is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high energy levels
