Responsibilities
- Inspect residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, storm, mold, and other property losses.
- Develop detailed estimates using Xactimate and industry-standard pricing databases.
- Create complete repair scopes that accurately reflect pre-loss condition and local code requirements.
- Negotiate claim scope and pricing with insurance adjusters, desk reviewers, and third-party administrators.
- Identify overlooked items, code upgrades, matching issues, and required repairs to ensure proper indemnification.
- Coordinate with project managers, mitigation teams, subcontractors, and homeowners throughout the restoration process.
- Prepare supplements and support documentation to maximize claim accuracy and project profitability.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, adjusters, agents, and referral partners.
- Assist operations teams with project budgeting, change orders, and cost control.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance restoration estimating, property adjusting, or reconstruction project management.
- Advanced proficiency with Xactimate.
- Strong understanding of insurance claims handling practices and policy interpretation.
- Extensive knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods.
- Ability to identify code requirements, ordinance and law upgrades, and matching considerations.
- Experience negotiating supplements and disputed scopes with carriers.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Former Staff Adjuster or Independent Adjuster experience.
- IICRC certifications.
- HAAG certification.
- Experience with large-loss or commercial claims.
- Familiarity with Symbility, Dash, Encircle, Matterport, EagleView, and DocuSketch.
- Prior experience in water mitigation, fire restoration, roofing, or reconstruction management.
