Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team! Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system oversight
- Lead and supervise retail sales teams to meet and exceed sales targets through effective coaching and motivation
- Oversee inventory management
- Support volunteer recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new volunteers
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to resolve issues promptly
- Manage scheduling shifts efficiently while ensuring optimal coverage during peak hours and special promotions
- Promote a positive work environment by supervising staff performance, conducting regular evaluations, and fostering teamwork
Experience
- Proven management experience in the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and operational oversight
- Demonstrated success in supervising staff within a fast-paced retail environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy setting
- Experience with retail math including pricing strategies, budgeting, and sales analysis is highly desirable
- Exceptional communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that inspire team engagement and customer satisfaction
