Program Assistant ChoicesPosition PurposeSupport students wth emotional disabilities in both upper and lower school inclusion programming. Support with academics; providing accomodations and lesson support. Implement behavior plans, manage behaviors, assist with social skills and inclusion throughout the school environment. Assist with arrival and dismissal.
Physically demanding position. Must obtain CPI training (during work hours) and be able to physically manage/restrain if needed. Flexibility within the program to work with a variety of student needs. QualificationsHigh school diploma required with associates degree or higher preferredExperience working with children/studentsExperience assisting in program implementationAbility to work with professional staffOutstanding preparation and/or experience may be substituted for some of the above qualificationsGeneral ResponsibilitiesSupport students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settingsNeeds to assist with behavior plan implementationProvide academic support as neededMonitoring for attention, work completion and social navigationPerform duties as assigned by school administrationOther duties as assigned by the classroom teacher.
