Job Description:
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients and their families. You will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the care they need in a timely and efficient manner. Your role will require exceptional organizational skills, a compassionate approach, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Answering Phones & Patient Inquiries: Responding to patient calls, providing information, and addressing inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
· Scheduling & Registration: Efficiently scheduling appointments and registering patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is entered into our system.
· Insurance Coordination: Understanding insurance coverage and assisting patients with insurance verification and communicating financial information.
· Physician Office Communication: Collaborating with physicians' offices to request and obtain necessary medical documentation and prescriptions.
· Patient Advocacy: Serving as a point of contact for patients, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their treatment journey.
· Administrative Tasks: Maintaining patient records, processing paperwork, and assisting with office organization and coordination.
Ideal Candidate:
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
· Compassionate and empathetic attitude toward patients, understanding their needs and concerns.
· Good work ethic and commitment to providing high-quality care.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
· Prior experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required.
· Knowledge of insurance verification and medical documentation is a plus.
