Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Cook and plate dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Handle food safely by following proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the dishwashing area by cleaning dishes, cookware, and kitchen tools promptly and thoroughly
- Assist with menu planning and food prep for daily service or special catering events
- Follow all food industry safety regulations and guidelines to uphold health standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or culinary environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with food handling techniques necessary for efficient meal prep
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards required to maintain a clean kitchen environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations
- Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required
