Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Tower Crane Technician to join our dynamic construction and heavy equipment maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining tower cranes and related lifting equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation on construction sites. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on tower cranes, including electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and hands-on techniques to identify root causes of malfunctions.
- Repair or replace faulty parts such as motors, brakes, transmissions, suspensions, and air brake systems to restore optimal crane performance.
- Conduct detailed electrical diagnostics and repairs on crane control systems, ensuring compliance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques for assembly, repairs, and modifications of crane components.
- Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and safety documentation in accordance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate crane operations safely while performing heavy lifting tasks during maintenance or installation.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or technician with a focus on construction machinery maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of cranes, excavators, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical systems diagnostics including schematics interpretation and troubleshooting electrical components.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems repair, welding, alignment procedures, and HVAC systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate equipment; valid certification in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repair techniques specific to construction machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to support internal teams or external clients effectively.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
