COMPOUNDING PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

We are a busy store that needs a meticulous candidate. One who can multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
This position would work in the compounding laboratory located on our 2nd Floor.
Responsibilities:
-Assisting the pharmacists as they compound various dosage forms
-Recording the weights of the final compounded dosage forms
-Setting up devices and equipment to be compounded on
-Cleaning and maintaining all compounding equipment and dishware.
-Place orders from various wholesalers. Keep proper stock levels
-Receive, check-in and enter chemical shipments
-Maintain inventory and check expiration dates.
-Follow all SOP's
-Log prescriptions in PK compounding software.
Experience
- Previous pharmacy tech experience is NECESSARY.
(An experienced Pharmacy Technician with little or no previous experience in compounding
will be considered, we can train on the compounding side, but compounding exp. is a plus)
- Must be precise
- Experience with lab equipment is a plus.
- Experience and ordering from chemical companies like PCCA, Medisca and Letco is a plus.
- Experience with any pharmacy software systems is a plus
Computer Skills
Experience with laboratory software - (PK is a plus).
Experience with pharmacy dispensing software - (Pioneer is a plus).
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary
Schedule
Candidate must be able to work Monday to Friday on a regular basis.
