About the Opportunity
Cub’s Corner is a high-quality pediatric therapy clinic in Boca Raton, Florida focused on delivering exceptional care across physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services. We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Lead to help build and lead the speech therapy program from the ground up. This individual will play a key role in establishing clinical excellence within the SLP department while providing direct patient care and supporting the growth and development of the therapy team.
Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist Lead will oversee the development and delivery of speech therapy services within the clinic, including:
- Providing high-quality speech therapy evaluations and treatment
- Supporting the development of clinical protocols and treatment approaches
- Serving as a mentor and resource for speech therapists
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
- Supporting the Director of Clinical Operations in maintaining clinical quality and standards
- This role combines clinical leadership responsibilities with direct patient care and offers the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing pediatric therapy organization.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care:
- Provide comprehensive speech therapy evaluations and treatment services within the clinic
- Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and goals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
- Provide caregiver education and home program recommendations
Clinical Leadership:
- Support the development and implementation of speech therapy treatment protocols
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for speech therapy staff
- Assist with onboarding and training new speech therapists
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting speech therapy team members as the organization grows
- Supervise SLPA’s, SLP clinical fellows, and students when applicable
- Support the professional development and clinical growth of speech therapy staff
- Promote evidence-based practice and clinical excellence across the ST department
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Partner closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and clinical leadership
- Participate in care planning and team collaboration
- Foster a collaborative, patient-centered clinical culture
Quality of Care and Outcomes
- Ensure consistent, high-quality speech-language therapy services
- Support outcome tracking and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain high standards for patient experience and family satisfaction
Documentation and Compliance
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and payer requirements
- Maintain adherence to clinic policies, professional standards, and licensing regulations
- Support documentation quality and clinical best practices within the ST team
Clinic Growth and Development
- Support the growth and development of the speech therapy program
- Assist in building a strong clinical culture during clinic launch and expansion
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for program enhancement and service development
- Provide input on staffing needs, program growth initiatives, and future speech therapy service offerings
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted state licensure in Speech Language Pathology
- Ability to be licensed in Florida (if not already licensed)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, required
- 2+ years of pediatric speech therapy experience preferred
- Valid Florida State Driver’s License
- Prior leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills across a variety of pediatric diagnoses and developmental needs
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
