Resurge Veterinary Surgical Specialists and Rehabilitation, LLC is a surgical referral practice located in Covington, Louisiana, that is owned and operated by Dena Lodato, DVM, MS, DACVS, CCR. We recently brought in Dr. Boogie Yates and Dr. Rachel Kobe to build our neurology and acupuncture practice offerings, respectively, and our rehab department supports both in-house and external clients. Although we're comprised of multiple, smaller departments, we operate as one team to provide the highest levels of client and patient support within the veterinary community of the Gulf Coast.
We're currently looking for a Medical Coordinator to join our Front Office team Tuesday thru Friday 7am-5pm and every other Saturday, 10am-2pm.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet and check-in clients
- Answer telephones and transfer calls
- Escort clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Manage medical records, charts, reports and notes
- Discuss payment options and process payments as well as invoicing
- Maintain a tidy and clean lobby
- Client/patient follow ups
- Communications with referral partners
- Field referrals and prioritize
- Client education
- End of the day reports
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, possess excellent communication and judgement skills, as well as the following:
- Multitasking and ability to remain composed are a MUST!
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette
- Attention to detail, self-motivated, and the ability to work successfully as part of a team
- Sense of urgency within a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking skills and ability to anticipate needs inter & intra-departmentally
- General computer competency required including Cornerstone software
- Previous experience in veterinary setting (preferred)
