Position Summary
BLCM is seeking a highly organized, experienced, and execution-focused Project Manager to oversee and support multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
This role is primarily office-based and responsible for managing the operational, financial, administrative, and coordination aspects of construction projects while working closely with ownership, superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and clients.
The Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered:
- On time
- Within budget
- According to plans/specifications

- While protecting company profitability and client relationships
This is not a passive coordination role. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and capable of managing multiple moving parts across several active projects simultaneously.
Core Responsibilities Project Management & Coordination
- Manage multiple active commercial construction projects simultaneously
- Support overall project execution from mobilization through completion
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and ownership teams
- Maintain project schedules and monitor milestone progress
- Identify project risks, delays, conflicts, and cost impacts early
- Assist in maintaining project profitability and budget control
- Track and manage critical project deadlines
Financial & Cost Control
- Assist with project budgeting and cost tracking
- Review subcontractor bids and scopes
- Manage subcontractor agreements and purchase orders
- Track project commitments and expenditures
- Review and process subcontractor invoices and pay applications
- Prepare owner billing support documentation
- Assist with change order pricing, tracking, and approval processes
- Monitor project cost overruns and budget variances
- Coordinate with accounting for job cost reporting
Project Documentation
- Manage RFIs, submittals, ASIs, bulletins, and change orders
- Maintain accurate project logs and document control
- Ensure all project files are organized and up to date
- Track permits, inspections, and agency approvals
- Maintain meeting minutes and action item logs
- Coordinate closeout documentation and punch lists
- Maintain digital project records within company systems
Scheduling & Operations
- Assist with project scheduling and look-ahead planning
- Coordinate procurement and long-lead material tracking
- Work with field teams to maintain project sequencing
- Assist with subcontractor scheduling and coordination
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules
- Help resolve operational conflicts and field issues
Communication & Leadership
- Serve as a key point of contact for project communication
- Participate in owner, architect, subcontractor, and internal meetings
- Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders
- Escalate major project risks or issues to leadership promptly
- Support a culture of accountability, urgency, and execution
- Help drive projects toward completion with minimal delays
Required Skills & QualificationsExperience
- 3–10+ years of commercial construction project management experience preferred
- Experience managing commercial, retail, hospitality, medical, restaurant, mixed-use, or ground-up projects preferred
- Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Understanding of:

Software Proficiency

The Project Manager will:

- Escalate major financial, contractual, or schedule risks to executive leadership
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and performance.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
