Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk, ensuring a positive first impression
- Schedule appointments using dental practice management software,
- Verify insurance coverage, process ,
- Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing clear communication and appointment coordination
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing medical records to keep the office organized and compliant with health information management standards
- Support treatment coordination and patient communication
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, manage the check-in process, and update digital health history records.
- Schedule appointments efficiently to maximize daily production targets and minimize provider downtime.
- Verify insurance benefits for upcoming procedures, submit claims, and follow up on outstanding pre-authorizations.
- Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patients at the time of service.
- Answer multi-line phones to address patient inquiries, handle emergencies, and confirm appointments.
- Maintain office cleanliness in the reception area and manage front desk administrative supplies.
Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent certification; associate degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of [1-2] years of experience working in a dental office.
- Software Skills: High proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or XL dent
- Dental Knowledge: Strong understanding of general dental terminology, ADA codes, and treatment sequencing.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Compliance: Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy laws.
- Willing to train a dental assistance wanting to transition to front office
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
