We are seeking energetic and dependable Movers/Crew Members to join our dynamic moving team! In this role, you will be at the forefront of helping clients transition smoothly to their new spaces by safely and efficiently handling their belongings. Your enthusiasm, physical stamina, and commitment to safety will drive success as you assist with loading, unloading, and transporting items across various locations. This is a paid position that offers a rewarding opportunity to develop valuable skills in moving, driving, and customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.
This position is a flexible, part-time position best suited for those looking to add supplemental income.
Expected hours are 15-20 hours a week.
HEAVING LIFTING REQUIRED.
Duties
- Safely load and unload household or commercial items using proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices
- Operate various moving equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and box trucks with adherence to safety regulations
- Drive box trucks or company vehicles along designated routes while following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws
- Assist with route driving, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of items while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Properly secure loads in trucks to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Collaborate with team members to organize and execute efficient moving operations, including packing, unpacking, and furniture assembly/disassembly
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace during loading/unloading processes and adhere to all safety protocols for heavy lifting and manual handling
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience or experience in commercial driving is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with box trucks is a plus
- Familiarity with heavy lifting, manual handling, and safe lifting practices in a workplace setting
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight handling in the workplace
- Experience with route driving, load & unload procedures, and delivery driver responsibilities is advantageous
- Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude; ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items repeatedly while maintaining proper form and safety standards
