Duradek, the original vinyl decking, has been a trusted leader in waterproof deck and balcony solutions for nearly 50 years. Our products are specified by architects, trusted by contractors, and installed by a network of professional dealers across North America.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and relationship-focused Market Development Representative to join our team.
This is an office-based position that plays a key role in expanding Duradek's presence throughout the United States. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, builders, general contractors, developers, dealers, and homeowners to identify opportunities, build relationships, and support project success.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Dealer Recruitment
- Research and identify multifamily, commercial, and residential construction projects throughout the United States.
- Identify and contact prospective contractors who may be a good fit for the Duradek dealer network.
- Introduce potential dealers to Duradek products, programs, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with architects, builders, developers, and general contractors.
- Conduct outbound phone calls and follow-up activities to generate new opportunities.
Architectural & Contractor Education
- Educate architects, builders, contractors, and developers on Duradek products and applications.
- Deliver presentations and product information to industry professionals.
- Promote product specifications and assist design professionals in selecting the appropriate Duradek systems for their projects.
- Maintain regular communication with key industry contacts.
Customer & Project Support
- Assist dealers, contractors, and customers with project inquiries.
- Prepare material take-offs and estimates from plans and drawings.
- Support customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate customer service.
- Assist with additional administrative and operational tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, customer service, inside sales, construction estimating, or building materials preferred.
- Knowledge of construction, building products, waterproofing, decking, railing, or related industries is an asset.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and developing new business relationships.
- Ability to read construction drawings and perform material take-offs is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
