Available Assignments
Security Officers may be assigned to:
- Community facilities
- Construction and secured sites
- High-visibility public-facing locations
Assignments are throughout North, Northwest, Downtown, West, Southwest, South, and Southeast Chicago neighborhoods.
Position Responsibilities:
- Monitor entrances, exits, and access control points
- Conduct foot patrols and security inspections
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and policy violations
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance
- Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, employees, and community members
- Utilize conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques when appropriate
- Follow all post orders, company policies, and client procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch personnel, and client representatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Illinois PERC Card
- 20-Hour Illinois Security Training Certificate
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid State ID or Driver's License
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to write clear and professional reports
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
