Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Machinist/CNC Operator with experience in manual machining, CNC programming, and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mills, lathes, and grinders, along with familiarity using CAD/CAM software and precision measurement tools. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, particularly within Quality Assurance and supervisory duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to produce high-quality parts.
- Use CAD/CAM software to write new machinery programs when needed.
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment.
- Adjust tooling, materials, and machining parameters to achieve required finishes and tolerances.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection instruments.
- Optimize cutting parameters including speed, feed rate, and depth of cut for efficient production.
- Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to improve manufacturing processes.
- Meet or exceed daily and weekly production and quality targets.
- Maintain safe and organized work areas while following company procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mazak, and Haas preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software including MasterCam and SolidCam.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Experience with mills, lathes, grinders, and general machining equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong time-management skills and reliability.
- Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Experience
· Experience operating vertical 3-axis machine center, CNC lathe, and metalworking equipment such as shear, brake, press, bandsaw, & surface grinder.
- Leadership or shift supervision experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 50–75 pounds regularly.
- Strong physical coordination and stamina for shop-floor environments.
Compensation and Benefits
