The North America Branch, based in Chicago, serves schools, universities, educational organizations, and Chinese language programs throughout the United States and Canada. As our international education initiatives continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Manager, China-U.S. Educational Partnerships to lead the development of strategic partnerships between educational institutions in China and North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with K–12 schools, school districts, colleges, universities, and educational organizations across North America.
- Identify and establish opportunities for China-U.S. educational collaboration, including joint programs, faculty exchanges, student mobility, study abroad programs, and institutional partnerships.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with school administrators, district leaders, university international offices, and government or educational agencies.
- Lead partnership development, contract negotiations, and implementation of collaborative education projects.
- Coordinate communication and project execution between Chinese and North American partner institutions.
- Organize educational delegations, leadership visits, international conferences, and cultural exchange programs.
- Monitor developments in international education policies and market trends to identify new partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with publishing, marketing, and program management teams to support the organization's international education initiatives.
- Represent the organization at education conferences, international forums, and professional association meetings.
Qualifications
Required
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in international education, higher education administration, educational partnerships, or related fields.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Thorough understanding of the U.S. and Chinese education systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced international environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Education, International Education, Higher Education Administration, Public Policy, Business, or a related field.
- Experience developing or managing China-U.S. educational partnerships, joint academic programs, or international exchange initiatives.
- Existing professional network within U.S. school districts, colleges, universities, or Chinese educational institutions.
- Experience working with international recruitment, study abroad, or cooperative education programs.
- Knowledge of international education policies, global mobility programs, and cross-cultural communication.
Compensation
- Starting salary: $150,000+ per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications
