Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms with sterile instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique is maintained throughout all procedures
- Assist the oral surgeon during surgeries by handing instruments, managing suction, and monitoring patient comfort and vital signs
- Operate dental imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images for surgical planning
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical records securely
- Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions, emphasizing infection control and proper healing techniques
Qualifications
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques is a plus. Willing to train medical assistants.
- Familiarity with dental imaging technology
- Ability to perform chairside assisting with precision while maintaining a positive patient experience
