Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Water Jet Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain waterjet cutting equipment to produce precise components according to technical specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production while adhering to safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3 Axis CNC Omax waterjet cutting machine using detailed blueprints and technical drawings
- Make edit to programs of waterjet machines utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to ensure accurate cuts
- Interpret production documents, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine cutting parameters
- Complete first piece inspection
- Conduct routine machine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime
- Measure finished parts with precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling industrial equipment and materials
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and quality control documentation
Skills
- Experience with machine controls or similar CNC systems
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation
- Knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting and maintenance procedures
- Ability to interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for precision machining
- Familiarity with shop math, materials handling, tooling setup, and fabrication techniques
- Experience with factory or manufacturing facility environments, including safety standards compliance
- Ability to work with hand tools, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment as needed
