GKO Architects is an Ambler, PA based architectural firm with an emphasis on Educational, Municipal and Religious Projects. We are seeking a talented and experienced Project Architect with 10+ years experience, who is highly motivated to engage in all levels of projects from preliminary design through construction administration of various architectural projects. Your experience in project management, construction and design will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of each project.
With a staff of under 20 employees and 2 partners heading up the team, we offer a supportive atmosphere where staff have direct input on projects and high visibility with decision making. Responsibilities:
Develop CAD and Revit architectural design and plans based on client specifications
Lead architectural design projects from concept through completion, utilizing software
Collaborate with clients, contractors, engineers and team members to facilitate effective communication and negotiation
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources ensuring timely completion within budget constraints
Conduct site visits to oversee construction progress and ensure compliance with design standards
Provide guidance and support to junior architects and design team members
Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Proven experience as a Project Manager Architect
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Sketchup software is helpful
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Experience in contract negotiation, budgeting, and cost estimation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
