Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Cashier to join our retail team! This is for Night Crew only, start time is at 2pm or 3pm and end time is at 10pm or 11pm. In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, handles transactions efficiently, and ensures a positive shopping experience. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help drive sales, promote products, and maintain a welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process customer transactions swiftly and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Practice effective phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance remotely
- Support store operations through inventory management, stocking, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and organized
Experience
- Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with shoppers of all backgrounds
- Supervising experience or leadership roles are advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
- Knowledge of merchandising, stock management, and retail sales strategies will help you excel in this role
