This role is responsible for delivering a strong member and sponsor experience while keeping projects, records, communications, and commitments moving forward.
The right candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working independently, communicating with a variety of stakeholders, and staying highly organized in a fast-moving association environment.
Membership Services: Manage member registration, confirmations, onboarding, ongoing engagement, and day-to-day member support. Gather member feedback and help identify opportunities to improve the member experience.
Sponsorship Support: Help identify sponsorship opportunities, ensure sponsor benefits are delivered as promised, and serve as a primary point of contact for sponsors recruited by staff, volunteers, or committees.
Committee Coordination: Serve as a liaison to Membership and Sponsorship committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, following up on action items, reporting progress toward goals, and sharing relevant industry insights.
Client & Stakeholder Support: Respond to client, member, sponsor, and internal inquiries in a timely and professional manner while maintaining strong working relationships across multiple client organizations.
Data & Record Management: Maintain accurate membership information across the association management system (AMS) and related databases, as well as client files, records, materials, and supplies.
Project & Event Execution: Maintain project boards and timelines, collaborate with internal teams, and support onsite registration and sponsorship activities at client conferences and events.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuing education, bring forward new ideas and strategies, and contribute to improvements in membership, sponsorship, and association-management processes.
Required Experience:
Post-high-school degree or multiple years of relevant professional experience.
At least 1 year of association-related work experience.
Strong project management, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage immediate priorities while also supporting longer-term goals.
Comfortable working with multiple clients, stakeholders, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
Technical & Professional Skills:
Strong computer literacy and ability to learn and effectively use applicable software systems.
Ability to accurately maintain databases, records, project boards, and documentation.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply detailed program and client information.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Sound judgment and ability to gather, evaluate, and act on information.
This is a non-exempt position, with overtime paid for supervisor-approved hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
Association work can be cyclical, so occasional extended days or weekend work may be required based on client needs. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.
Limited travel may also be required to support client conferences, conventions, or board meetings.
If you are a highly organized professional who enjoys building relationships, managing multiple moving pieces, and creating a great experience for members, sponsors, and clients, we encourage you to apply.
