American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an acute care Level I trauma facility, requiring proficiency in a wide range of MRI procedures.

Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist required

ARRT-MR certification preferred
-
IL license required if applicable

Cerner charting experience required

Level I Trauma experience preferred

Teaching hospital experience preferred

Required skills in Abdomen/Pelvis MRI including Abdominal MRA, Abdominal MRV, Female Pelvis, MRCP, and Male Pelvis

Required skills in Cardiovascular MRI including MR Angio Lower Extremity with Bilateral Runoff

Required skills in Chest MRI
-
Required skills in Head and Neck imaging including Brain, Cranial Nerves, Face/Soft Tissue Neck, Head MRA, Head MRV, Neck MRV, and Orbits

Required skills in Musculoskeletal MRI including Foot, Hand, Hip/Bony Pelvis, Knee, Lower Extremity Long Bones, Shoulder, Sternum, TMJ with/without contrast, and Upper Extremity Long Bones

Required proficiency in special imaging procedures including CINE, Diffusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, MIP, MRP, Perfusion, Peripheral MRA, Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, T1 and T2 Weighted Images

Required skills in Spine imaging including Cervical, Lumbar, Sacrum/Coccyx, Spinal Trauma, Thoracic, and Thoracic MRA

Experience with Siemens equipment preferred

Acute care Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 staffed beds
-
Any solid color scrubs permitted

Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
-
Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed, including 2 of 3 major holidays

On-call required as needed

First-time travelers accepted

Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction

Requested time off ideally limited to 5 days or fewer
-
Previous PRN or permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
