Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with their inquiries to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Operate the cash register (POS system) efficiently for retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cash drawer management
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date
- Provide detailed information about store products, including grocery items if applicable, to support informed purchasing decisions
- Handle customer service issues promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and stock rotation to ensure product availability
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for mentoring new team members
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on friendly phone etiquette
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for retail transactions and cash handling responsibilities
- Strong organizational skills for merchandising, stocking, and maintaining store cleanliness
- Prior experience in customer service roles that involve upselling or product demos will be beneficial
