DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a skilled Full-Charge Bookkeeper or Accountant to maintain our financial records. This role is responsible for all aspects of the accounting cycle including purchases, sales, reports, and journal entries. This role has experiential knowledge of GAAP and provides support to our Associate Director.
Our ideal candidate has at least two years of non-profit bookkeeping experience and enjoys working behind the scenes adding operational support to the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Bookkeeping - 75%
Financial Acumen:
- Understanding and application of basic accounting principles
- Understanding and application of accounts payable
- Understanding and application of accounts receivable
- Understanding and experience with non-profit accounting practices
Financial Management:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software; Sage Intacct
- Full accounts payable cycle
- Record revenue
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintain vendor records
- Assist Associate Director in year-end tax preparation and budget planning
- Manage the bill payment and staff reimbursement systems
- Utilize project management software to organize, track, and update tasks
- Assist in year-end budget planning and tax preparations
Administration - 25%
- Maintain vendor records
- Utilize project management system to organize and track tasks
- Create, maintain and update spreadsheets and documents as needed
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

- Proven experience in non-profit bookkeeping
- Proficiency utilizing accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Aplos or similar.
- Experience using Google Workspace: Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, etc.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and written
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:
- High School/GED education required
- Minimum of 2 years experience of bookkeeping required
- Certificate or AS in Accounting preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
