Do you have a passion for strengthening families, empowering students, and building meaningful community connections? We’re seeking a relationship-driven and mission-focused Neighborhood School Coordinator to help bring our community school model to life. In this role, you’ll serve as a connector, advocate, and leader—bringing together students, families, school staff, and community partners to deliver coordinated, responsive, and impactful supports.
You’ll blend family engagement, program coordination, and collaborative leadership to reduce barriers, align resources, and advance a shared vision for student success. Through a culturally responsive and family-centered approach, you’ll help create an environment where every student and family feels supported, informed, and empowered to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Help create a school environment where students and families feel supported, connected, and positioned for success
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and school staff
- Support and promote family engagement through events, outreach, and accessible communication
- Connect families to resources and help reduce barriers to participation
- Serve as a liaison between the school, UWGSC, and community partners
- Lead and support the community school strategy, ensuring programs align with identified needs and shared goals
- Coordinate and oversee school-based programming and partnerships
- Facilitate collaboration among partners to align services and strengthen supports for students and families
- Monitor program effectiveness and identify opportunities to enhance impact
- Promote a family-centered, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approach
- Communicate key updates, needs, and outcomes with UWGSC leadership
Summer Responsibilities
- Collaborate with school leadership to prepare for the upcoming school year
- Review needs assessments and strengthen partnerships to address identified gaps
- Coordinate summer programming, outreach, and support for families
- Prepare systems for fall implementation, including schedules, referrals, and resources
- Maintain engagement with families and support access to essential resources
Experience
- Experience in education, human services, or community-based work preferred

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Basic proficiency with computers and standard office software
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
