Overview
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. Will act as a Crew Chief over 3-7 personnel. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OPERATING A TRACTOR, SKID STEER AND MOWER. Tractors we use include Kubota, John Deere and Case. MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL. MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST. This position requires the ability to travel, sometimes out of state, for 2-3 weeks at a time. The Civil Equipment Operator will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
Duties
- Operate tractors and heavy machinery
- MUST be able to travel for 2 weeks at a time, sometimes out of state
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain safety standards during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members on projects to meet deadlines and quality expectations
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
- Assist with site preparation by clearing land, leveling surfaces, and moving materials using appropriate machinery
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to execute construction plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Transport materials and equipment across job sites using commercial driving skills and appropriate licensing
- Follow all safety procedures during equipment operation to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and operational reports for project documentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as Tractors, Skid Steers or Mowers.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
Pay: From $27.50 per hour
