In this role, you will be responsible for constructing high-quality custom cabinets tailored to client specifications, ensuring every piece meets our rigorous standards of excellence. Your expertise in woodworking, blueprint interpretation, and construction techniques will directly contribute to creating beautiful, functional cabinetry that transforms spaces. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately build custom cabinets.
- Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, including saws, drills, sanders, and CNC machines, to cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinetry components.
- Measure precisely to ensure all parts fit perfectly within specified dimensions and adhere to design specifications.
- Fabricate cabinet components from wood construction materials such as plywood, MDF, hardwoods, and veneers with attention to detail.
- Install finished cabinets on-site with careful handling of fixtures, door hanging, and hardware installation to ensure stability and aesthetic appeal.
- Collaborate with project managers and designers to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace by following power tool safety protocols and proper handling of heavy lifting tasks.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques including framing, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and remodeling projects.
- Proficiency in interpreting construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to cabinetry and general construction.
- Experience with construction estimating processes for project planning and resource management.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, hammers) and power tools for woodworking (e.g., saws, drills), along with woodworking machines like CNC routers.
- Familiarity with residential carpentry tasks such as door hanging, fixture installation, siding work, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical experience, plumbing basics, masonry work, roofing, stucco application, caulking, plastering, water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety procedures including power tool safety practices and proper handling of heavy materials during fabrication or installation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics for cabinetry systems or construction plans for remodeling projects.
- Experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments related to custom cabinetry or general carpentry industries.
