Job description: Technical Sales
Silicon Valley Microelectronics, Inc. (“SVM”) is the world’s largest distributor of silicon wafers and wafer processing for the semiconductor industry. Founded in 1990, SVM has earned a reputation for outstanding quality and extraordinary customer service. We are a small, family-oriented team of about 30 people, with an average tenure of more than 10 years.
We are looking for a Salesperson to create and maintain long-term relationships with customers. The Salesperson’s role is to actively seek out new sales opportunities. In this role, you will work with our internal teams (including Customer Service, Purchasing, and Shipping/Receiving) to execute sales and ensure an outstanding overall customer experience. This position may require occasional domestic and/or international travel.
If you have the desire to become a professional in technical sales and are willing to put in the work – we will train you.
The job responsibilities are as follows:
- Prospect new customers.
- Handle internet inquiries.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products to your customers.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with the team on customer opportunities.
- Handle quality and/or other issues when they arise.
Qualifications & Skills:
- BA/BS degree required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Sales experience is not necessary. A strong drive to succeed is.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Proven ability to multitask.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Schedule:
- Monday thru Friday, 8:30-5:30, at our Santa Clara headquarters.
Earning Potential:
