Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Lead Hurricane Shutter / Screen Technician to manage the service, repair, and troubleshooting of all types of hurricane shutters and screen systems. This role focuses primarily on diagnosing issues in the field, coordinating required parts with the office team, and returning to clients’ homes to complete high-quality repairs.
The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of hands-on experience working with hurricane shutters and screens, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and is capable of independently managing daily service calls while leading additional assistant service technicians. This position requires strong problem-solving abilities, accountability, and professionalism when interacting with customers.
Occasionally, the Lead Technician will assist installation crews on larger projects when additional support is needed. Experience with impact windows and doors is a plus.
Responsibilities

- Assess, diagnose, and troubleshoot all types of hurricane shutters and screen systems
- Identify repair issues and coordinate with the office team to order necessary parts
- Return to clients’ homes to complete repairs and service work efficiently and professionally
- Independently manage daily service calls, schedules, and job completion
- Lead and supervise assistant service technicians, ensuring accountability and quality performance
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service
- Occasionally assist installation crews on larger projects when additional support is needed
- Follow all company safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience installing, repairing, and servicing hurricane shutters and screen systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proven leadership ability and experience guiding or managing other assistant technicians
- Ability to work independently and self-manage in a field service environment
- Professional communication skills when interacting with customers and team members
- Physically capable of lifting equipment and working in outdoor environments
- Must maintain a respectful, team-oriented attitude toward coworkers and office staff
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check (no felony convictions)
- Must be drug-free
- Experience with impact windows and doors is a plus
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
