CDL A Driver | Houston, TX | Local/Regional
TransForce is seeking a CDL A driver to support local and regional yard operations based in Houston, TX. This position offers steady work, consistent routes, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.
CDL A Details:
- Schedule:
- Varies; most routes start from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am
- Yard shifts typically: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- 1–2 layovers per week (1 day)
- Pay: $28 Per Hour
- Route Type: Local / Regional
- Freight / Load Type: Dry van; 5–8 stops per day
- Equipment: Automatic and Manual trucks
- Handling: Strapping required
CDL A Minimum Requirements:
- License: CDL A
- Experience: 1+ year of recent, verifiable driving experience
- Equipment Experience: Dry van
- Endorsements: Hazmat
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major violations in last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
CDL A Responsibilities:
- Perform yard moves and support local/regional routes
- Safely operate automatic and manual equipment
- Secure loads using proper strapping techniques
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and communicate with dispatch
