Job Title: Warehouse Assistant & Delivery Driver
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant & Delivery Driver to join our team. In this dual role, you will spend part of your day managing inventory in our warehouse and the other part delivering products safely and efficiently to our local clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive team player who enjoys a mix of independent driving and collaborative warehouse work.
Duties & Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations:
- Inventory Control: Receive, unload, inspect, and organize incoming product shipments.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for daily deliveries.
- Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized warehouse environment.
- Equipment Use: Safely operate warehouse tools such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklift.
Delivery Driving:
- Local Transport: Safely operate a company delivery vehicle to drop off orders to businesses/customers on time.
- Load Security: Ensure all cargo is properly loaded, stacked, and tied down to prevent damage during transit.
- Client Relations: Provide friendly, professional customer service at every delivery drop-off point.
- Documentation: Verify matching order invoices, obtain delivery signatures, and track paperwork.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Complete daily pre-trip vehicle checks, keep the vehicle clean, and report any maintenance needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Driving Record: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (No major violations and qualify for Safe Vendor Badge).
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old (for commercial vehicle insurance purposes).
- Background Check: Ability to pass a standard background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Attributes: Punctual, highly organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience (Preferred): 2+ years of warehouse operations or delivery driving experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Schedule & Hours
- Job Type: Full-time
- Shift: Day shift (e.g., Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- No weekends or late nights
Salary & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
