Key Responsibilities:
As a School Nurse (M–F), you will play a key role in supporting students' physical and emotional well-being. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Provide care for students with chronic conditions such as diabetes and seizure precautions
- Perform diabetic management, including monitoring and education
- Administer medications (e.g., Baqsimi, Glucagon, Diastat, Valtoco)
- Respond to medical needs based on collaboration with the physician
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
- Assessing, monitoring, and managing students with both chronic and acute health conditions
- Maintaining accurate, confidential, and up-to-date student health records
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and district health policies
- Communicating with parents/guardians regarding students’ health concerns and follow-up care

Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in the state of Florida
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Compassionate, student-centered approach to care
- Ability to adapt and respond to a dynamic school environment
- The Clearinghouse connects multiple state agencies — including the Florida Department of Education — to ensure individuals working with students and vulnerable populations have been properly screened, helping protect families while improving efficiency for schools and providers.
