Corporate Metallurgist (High Performance Alloys)

A manufacturer opening a new facility in New Castle, PA is hiring a Corporate Metallurgist to lead product development for high performance alloys, with a focus on managing products through the full lifecycle. Relocation assistance is offered, and compensation can flex for the right candidate.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Science; advanced degree a plus
- 8 to 10 years of hands on experience with high performance alloys (nickel, cobalt, or titanium) in a manufacturing setting
- Nickel based superalloy development experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of ASTM, NADCAP, and AS9100 standards
- Ability to travel regularly to facilities across the US
Responsibilities:
Lead development of metallurgical processes aligned with customer specifications and quality standards, analyze customer requirements to design new products from concept through end of lifecycle, provide technical support for metallurgical challenges, test and analyze alloy properties for mechanical, thermal, and corrosion performance, investigate non conformance and test failures for root cause, prepare technical documentation, and stay ahead of emerging materials technology.
Pay: $102,000 to $150,000 a year, with flexibility for the right candidate
