Your expertise will ensure that complex piping networks, including fire sprinkler systems and process pipelines, are constructed to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute pipefitting tasks.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems using various welding techniques such as MIG, FCAW, Stick, and TIG welding.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and soldering equipment to prepare and connect pipes efficiently.
- Perform pipe welding and fire sprinkler fitting with strict adherence to safety regulations and NFPA standards.
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes for installation on construction sites or maintenance projects.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe work environment during all phases of pipefitting activities.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick welding, TIG welding, and pipe welding techniques.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings for accurate execution of tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pipe installation, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance processes.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, soldering tools, and other fabrication instruments safely.
- Knowledge of safety regulations including NFPA standards for fire sprinkler systems and general construction site safety protocols.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings and working with construction plans on-site or in fabrication shops.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and pipe fitting accuracy.
- Construction site experience with a focus on pipefitting projects involving sprinkler systems or process piping installations.
