Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medium Duty Truck Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of medium-duty and light-duty trucks. Your expertise will ensure our fleet customers operate safely and efficiently, supporting our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on medium-duty trucks, including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicle systems such as air brakes, alignments, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform tire services including mounting, balancing, and repairs; conduct heavy lifting safely during equipment maintenance
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Skills
- Proven experience with medium-duty trucks or heavy equipment is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in air brake and medium-duty suspension systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting complex issues
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software for efficient troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or maintenance tasks
