About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional cabinetmaking experience and a strong understanding of custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, and quality craftsmanship.
This position is responsible for taking projects from drawings and specifications through fabrication and assembly, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
The right candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret shop drawings, architectural drawings, and specifications.
- Build custom cabinets, casework, furniture, and architectural millwork.
- Accurately measure, cut, machine, assemble, and install components.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform layout, fitting, assembly, and finishing preparation.
- Verify dimensions and maintain tight tolerances throughout the fabrication process.
- Identify and resolve fabrication or fitment issues before completion.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company safety procedures and proper equipment operating practices.
- Maintain quality standards throughout all stages of fabrication.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and other members of the production team.
- Work efficiently to meet project schedules and production deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of professional cabinetmaking or custom millwork experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and plans.
- Proficiency with woodworking hand tools and power tools.
- Experience operating common woodworking machinery.
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction, joinery, and fabrication methods.
- Ability to work accurately with measurements and dimensions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
Preferred:
- Experience in a custom architectural millwork or high-end cabinetry environment.
- Experience working from detailed architectural/shop drawings.
- Experience with specialty or custom fabrication.
- Experience with installation and field adjustments.
