We are seeking a dedicated Greenhouse Laborer to join our horticultural team, supporting the cultivation and maintenance of plants within controlled greenhouse environments. This role involves performing essential tasks to ensure optimal crop growth, health, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, greenhouse operations, and outdoor work, with a focus on sustainable crop production practices. Responsibilities
- Assist with greenhouse setup, including installing and maintaining irrigation systems and environmental control equipment
- Monitor and adjust irrigation management to ensure proper watering schedules and water conservation
- Perform crop cultivation activities such as planting, pruning, trimming, and harvesting plants
- Implement integrated pest management strategies to control pests and diseases effectively
- Maintain adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all horticultural activities
- Manage horticultural teams by providing guidance on plant care techniques and safety protocols
- Conduct outdoor work including land preparation, lawn care, gardening, and landscaping tasks as needed
- Identify plant pests, diseases, and deficiencies through visual inspection and basic plant identification skills
- Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment safely for various cultivation tasks
- Support crop production goals by maintaining optimal growing conditions within the greenhouse environment
Pay $14-18 depending on experience.

Weekend Worker Needed: Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday 2-8 hours a day (min 2 hours for watering). Watering is from 11:30am to1:30pm.
Plus 1-3 days a week (Monday-Friday), weekdays are flexible hours are from 7:30am-4pm

Job Description: Assist with breeding operations for alfalfa germplasm development to include alfalfa crossing and greenhouse plant maintenance including staking, pruning, potting, watering, seeding, counting and greenhouse cleaning.
Help with grinding alfalfa samples and taking quality samples in field (spring-fall). Will require PPE (mask, hearing protection and goggles.) will use a coarse grinder.
Skills: Alfalfa crossing is very detail oriented; position involves working with small and fragile plant material that requires good eye-hand coordination, excellent attention to detail and quality record keeping.
Knowledge: Biology Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
