Western Home Communities is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as Nurse Mentor at Thuesen Cottage.

What You’ll Do:
Provide direct resident care while mentoring and supporting all levels of care staff
Identify and manage infection control practices; educate team members on proper precautions
Oversee and participate in MDS processes — including scheduling and transmitting assessments
Supervise and guide direct care staff to ensure the highest standards of care are met
Administer medications, treatments, and physician-ordered care with precision and accountability
Communicate effectively with physicians, supervisors, and family members regarding resident needs and progress
Foster a team-oriented, compassionate, and professional environment
What You’ll Bring:
Graduate of a state board-approved Registered Nurse (RN) program
Current Iowa RN license in good standing
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred: Familiarity with MDS process
Preferred: Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (or willingness to obtain)
Completion of the Iowa mandatory supervisory course (or willingness to complete within 6 months)
Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
