Dave Campbell's Texas Sports is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to help tell the stories behind Texas sports.
In this role, you'll create social-first content that brings the stories of Texas sports to life, with an emphasis on shooting and editing short-form video across our social platforms. You'll also help own the day-to-day execution of our social channels, publishing content, supporting our editorial, studio and sponsorship teams, and helping bring the Dave Campbell's Texas Sports brand to life every day.
We're looking for someone with strong creative instincts, great attention to detail and a passion for digital storytelling. You'll collaborate with writers, designers, photographers and others on our social and marketing team to create content that informs, entertains and grows our audience.
Here's what you'll do
- Own the day-to-day execution of Dave Campbell's Texas Sports social channels, including content scheduling, publishing and live event coverage.
- Create and edit social-first content that brings Dave Campbell's Texas Sports stories to life across all platforms.
- Write captions and social copy that reflect the Dave Campbell's Texas Sports voice.
- Collaborate with the social team to build content calendars across all platforms.
- Help develop creative concepts, recurring content series and campaign ideas.
- Transform feature stories, rankings, breaking news and live events into engaging social content.
- Plan and execute live social coverage for games, championships and marquee events. This role includes occasional nights, weekends and travel during peak seasons.
- Organize and maintain content libraries for editorial, studio and sponsored assets.
- Identify performance trends and use analytics to improve future content.
- Stay current on platform updates, emerging trends, and new storytelling formats.
- Support sponsored campaigns while maintaining the social standards and voice of Dave Campbell's Texas Sports.
You’d be a great fit if...
- You enjoy turning great stories into engaging social content.
- You naturally come up with content ideas that can be executed quickly.
- You have experience editing social-first video in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar software.
- You pay attention to trends, platform updates and features, and implement them into content ideas and plans quickly.
- You're comfortable using Photoshop, Canva, Edits, CapCut or similar creative tools.
- You get excited about the opportunity to travel and capture stories from around the state of Texas.
- You're always asking, "How can we make this better?"
- You have experience managing social media for a brand, organization or media outlet.
- You can write in an established brand voice while adapting content for different platforms.
- You have experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and X.

The Details
- Salary Range: $45,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience.
- Location: This is an in-person role based in our Lewisville, Texas office. The position includes a flexible schedule, with occasional nights, weekends and travel required to support live events.
