Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Acute Care team.
Schedule: PRN
Shift: At least 16 hours/month
Orientation is during the week. Flexible, but prefer employee is available for at least 3 consecutive days for orientation.

- Weekday coverage can choose length of PRN shift from 4-8 hours (holidays are 8 hours).
- If you prefer later coverage, you may schedule shift up to 8pm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Documents evaluation results clearly and completely according to department policy.
- Completes daily progress notes that reflect patients' responses to treatment, actual performance and an assessment as to status, relevant to the treatment plan, and eventual discharge needs and treatment summaries if needed.
- Completes discharge notes that include a summary of the course of treatment, progress toward goals, discharge needs, recommendations for follow-up and patient and/or family education.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.
- Provides educational materials and methods appropriate to patients' level of understanding and motivation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience as an Acute Care Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Basic Life Support (AHA) upon start
- Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy
- Virginia license in Occupational Therapy upon start
