We are seeking experienced structural steel fabricator- welder- layout-fitter at our AISC Certified structural steel shop. This role focuses on fabrication of structural and miscellaneous steel.
Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on structural steel fabrication (layout, cutting, fitting, welding)
Fabricate mezzanines, stairs, platforms, rails, structure shapes, ladders.
Read shop drawings and maintain quality standards
Preferences:
5+ years structural steel fabrication experience
Work with Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminum
Knowledge on operations of Press Break, CNC Plasma Burn Table and CNC Pipe Burn machine.
Strong welding skills (MIG, Stick, Flux-Core), Welding Positions of 1G + 2G
AWS D1.1 Certification
Ability to read structural drawings and perform layout independently
Ability to rig steel and use of overhead crane / combi lift
Clean driving record
Compensation:
$30–$60/hr depending on experience
Overtime available
Gateway to union enrolment will be considered after a brief orientation period
Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
