Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

About the Role:
Dubin Law Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the firm's day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting processes.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, managing reconciliations, processing payroll, and improving accounting workflows across the organization.
This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in operational accounting who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and working closely with leadership in a growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries
- Reconcile bank, cash, credit card, trust, and general ledger accounts
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Review and maintain accurate general ledger activity
- Process semi-monthly payroll and related accounting entries
- Coordinate accounts payable activities and periodic payment runs
- Monitor and reconcile firm expenses and operational costs
- Assist with trust account reconciliations and line of credit activity
- Support case cost funding, settlement accounting, and disbursement tracking
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks Online
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
- Partner with leadership and internal departments to support operational and financial objectives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
- Experience supporting month-end close processes
- Experience with accounts payable and payroll functions
- Strong understanding of cash and accrual accounting principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience using QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy

- Law firm or professional services accounting experience
- Trust accounting experience
- Experience supporting audits and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting workflow automation tools
- Experience with cloud-based ERP or accounting platforms
