JOB Under direct supervision, performing routine semi-skilled construction, does related work as required. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Assist in the construction and repair of Stormwater Systems; lays and fits pipes; cuts and breaks up concrete and asphalt pavement; excavates ditches to grade; cleans and sweeps city streets; may assist in the excavating, grading and shoring up of trenches for the installation or maintenance of drainage systems; assist in the installation and repairs drainage lines and the city storm water system; uses standard tools and equipment of trade; cleans and care for tools and equipment; assists staff during snow/ice removal. Works 12 hour shifts 7 days a week during snow and ice removal. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license.
