Big Waves Laundromat is hiring a full-time Self-Service Laundromat Attendant to join our team.
We provide a consistent full-time job, steady weekly hours, training, free personal laundry, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
Previous laundromat experience is not required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, friendly, hardworking, willing to learn, and especially proactive.
A strong attendant does not wait around to be told what to do. They notice what the facility, customers, and team need and take action.
What You’ll Do
The job focuses on three main areas:
1. Cleaning & Maintaining the Facility
Keeping the laundromat clean, organized, and well maintained throughout the entire shift is a major part of this position.
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning washers and dryers
- Cleaning folding tables and customer areas
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Maintaining clean bathrooms
- Emptying trash
- Restocking supplies and vending machines
- Keeping the facility organized and presentable
- Identifying and reporting machine or facility problems
- Maintaining cleanliness throughout the entire shift
2. Self-Service Laundry Customer Service
Our attendants help customers have an easy and positive experience while using our self-service laundromats.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and assisting customers
- Helping customers choose the correct washer or dryer
- Explaining how washers and dryers work
- Helping customers understand machine sizes and pricing
- Assisting with card, payment, or basic machine issues
- Answering self-service laundry questions
- Helping resolve basic customer concerns
- Keeping the self-service area clean, organized, and ready for customers
- Creating a friendly and welcoming environment
3. Being Proactive
We are looking for someone who sees what needs to be done and takes action.
That means:
- Cleaning something when you notice it needs attention
- Helping a customer who looks like they need assistance
- Restocking supplies before they run out
- Reporting machine or facility problems when you notice them
- Finding productive work during slower periods
- Helping teammates when needed
- Taking ownership of the condition of the laundromat during your shift
Schedule
This is a consistent full-time position working 5 days per week.
Typical shifts include:
- 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Shift times may vary depending on staffing and business needs.
Applicants should have flexible availability and weekend availability.
Two Locations
Big Waves Laundromat operates two nearby locations under the same company and management team.
Employees may be scheduled at either location depending on staffing and business needs.

Applicants must be able to reliably report to either location as scheduled.
A car is not required.
Pay
$19.00 per hour
